I recently hosted a baby shower at Inspired Play Cafe and it was an incredible experience.
Here's why I chose this venue and why you should consider it too:
- The location at 119th and Metcalf, which is incredibly convenient with ample parking.
- The aesthetic of the cafe is so charming that minimal decor is required.
- I didn't have to worry about cooking or entertainment as the cafe provided all of it.

The owner, Bianca, was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the planning process. On the day of the event, Bianca helped me set up and showed me around the space. I brought a few decorations, but the space was already so inviting that I didn't need much. I brought tablecloths and a few stuffed animals and figurines to use on the tables for decor. Bianca showed me which table people usually designate for gifts, and tada - we were party ready!

Parents were able to sign waivers for their children using a QR code upon arrival, and the kids immediately headed to the play space. Adults had the option to purchase food and drinks from the cafe or sit at a table and socialize. I got the spinach dip, my husband had a Buffalo-style grilled chicken wrap and my kids opted for the vegetarian “chicken” nuggets with friends. I heard from others that the smoothies and mac-n-cheese were delicious! I also provided plates, a veggie tray and cookies from a local baker to match our party theme.

The dedicated play area for children of all ages with imaginative toys that encourage creative play. It was heartwarming to see parents and their children enjoying their time together. On the cafe side, there are also items available for purchase from local boutiques and and Montessori-inspired toys.
