The Coterie Presents: The Snowy Day—Streamed to Your Living Room!

By Melissa Basgall, Macaroni Kid KC November 23, 2020

This holiday season, The Coterie presents Mesner Puppet Theater’s production of The Snowy Day and other stories by Ezra Jack Keats. The endearing adaptation of Ezra Jack Keats’ award-winning book for families with ages three and older will be performed and streamed online for families and virtual school field trips beginning December 1, 2020. The Snowy Day and other stories by Ezra Jack Keats celebrates the magic and boundless possibilities of the first snowfall! Follow Peter and his friends as they romp and play, starting snow ball fights and making snow angels in this uplifting musical play about childhood joys and living life to the fullest each day.  Using inventive puppetry, Keats’ little boy in the red coat comes to life in this charming story collection of Whistle for Willie, Goggles!, A Letter to Amy, and The Snowy Day.

The production will be available online to view on demand through ShowTix4U beginning December 1st. Your purchase includes a link unique to you that will allow you to stream the performance for 48 hours (beginning upon first click of the link). Available through January 3, 2021, you and your family can enjoy The Snowy Day from the comfort of your own home and on your schedule. A live stream can also be gifted, or would make a great holiday virtual viewing party for families remoting together! The Snowy Day is also available to educators as a virtual field trip for PreK – 3rd grades. Virtual field trips are booking now for performances December 1, 2020 -January 3, 2021. Booking details are available at www.thecoterie.org.
