A Pool in the Kitchen?

A Note from the Publisher

Are you guys ready for ANOTHER crazy weather day? I seriously can't believe I was sending you snow day ideas just a week ago today, and we're right back in it a week later. And, the bigger blow is that this was already a 3 day weekend home with your kids, and now it's 4 days! Like you, I'm mostly out of ideas for entertaining my kiddo, but I'll share one quick idea here.

If you still have an old baby baby pool lying around in your basement or garage, pull it out and wipe it down. Then, when you're stuck indoors tomorrow, fill it up with some kind of sensory material or activity. Cooked spaghetti, water beads, shaving cream, easter grass, whatever you have on hand! Add a few little toys and few kitchen scoops or bowls, then let your kids get in and get messy! They will think this is the best thing on planet Earth. A pool in the kitchen? Whaaaat! Don't have an old baby pool? A large plastic storage bin will do!

Then, when they're done, you'll have another activity lined up, called "bath time". Hopefully, all that fills at least an hour of your morning, and will free you from your bath time routine on a Friday night so you can enjoy that glass of wine you know you're going to be craving by 2pm.

I hope you all survive the weekend, and are able to get out and do something fun. Talk to you all next week, fingers crossed for nicer weather next weekend!
