Many of our Macaroni Moms and other caregivers are constantly on the hunt for fun story times. Here’s a comprehensive list of storytimes for each of our local library systems. Click the name of the library to be taken to a calendar link, where you can find the dates and times for future storytimes!
Storytots:
This storytime is focused on very young children and building literacy skills – listening to words, building vocabulary and using imagination. We read stories, dance, bounce and wiggle. Join us!
Ages 0-2
Storypals:
This storytime focuses on vocabulary development, shape recognition, rhyming, song singing, dancing, wordplay and imagination.
Ages 2-3
Storyfriends:
Read good books, learn finger plays, sing songs, dance and have fun.
Ages 3-5
Family Night Storytime:
It is nighttime at the library…BUT before the doors close, the whole family is invited to a pajama-wearing, blanket-hugging storytime. A special evening of quiet songs, sleepy books, stretching and soft music and lighting with Mr. Patrick and his rocking chair.

Pajama Storytime:
All ages welcome Wear your warm pajamas for some bedtime stories, and enjoy cookies and milk too

Hollywood’s ABC Storytime:
Join Miss Jane and Hollywood, the storytime mascot, as they romp through the alphabet, learning a new letter each week.
Ages: Birth-Preschool
Lapsit:
Develop early literacy skills through play, rhymes, songs and movement.
Ages: 6-18 months
Storytime:
Build early literacy skills such as vocabulary, listening and social skills using stories and sensory activities.
Ages: 18 months-3 years
Wiggle Workshop:
Build early literacy skills through song, dance, rhythm and rhyme for preschoolers.
Ages: Preschool
Playgroup:
Playgroup is a fun, weekly activity for children up to five-years-old involving hands-on imaginative play and toys to share. Children (and grown ups!) can come to Lansing Community Library to play, read stories, and spend time with friends - or make new ones!

Toddler Time:
Toddler Time is a new program for babies and children up to 3-years-old. Join in for songs, rhymes, and stories followed by fun, sensory activities that will encourage your child to play, create, and explore!

Family Storytime
During Family Storytime, enjoy listening to stories, singing songs and dancing with the whole family! It's a great way to encourage language and literacy skills.

Join each week for rhyming, singing, and dancing and exploring different stories.

Bedtime Storytime
This is a great time for stories and songs with a 3 to 6-year-old audience in mind, although everyone is welcome. Wear pajamas if you would like and bring a stuffed animal to add to the fun! Caregivers must be present with the children.

6 by 6 Storytime:
6 by 6 storytimes prepare children by giving them the six skills they need to start reading. Stories, dancing and games that will get them excited about learning!
Ages: 0-6
Baby Storytime
Start your little ones on their literacy journey to becoming a lifelong reader. Bring your infants and toddlers in to enjoy stories, rhymes and songs with our children's librarian. Older siblings are always welcome.
Ages: 0-12 months
Toddler Storytime
This program includes short stories, songs, fingerplays, movement activities, and free play to reinforce early language learning.
Ages: 12 to 36 months and a caregiver.
Preschool Storytime
Program for preschool age children.
Ages: 3-5
Family Storytime
Come join us for family story time in the Youth Services Craft Room, We will read stories, dance, and sing. This story time is particularly great for families with readers ages 2-6.

Story Time:
Bring your kiddo every Tuesday and let them get their wiggles and giggles out with interactive educational songs and dances followed by a story, bubble parade, and craft!
Ages: 3-6
Toddler Time:
Bring your kiddo to laugh, sing, jump and dance! Not only is this a great way to burn some of that never ending toddler energy, but it also helps improve fine and gross motor skills! Each session wraps up with a bubble parade and craft
Ages: 12 months-3 years

Library in the Park is back for the 5th year! Come celebrate our community with live music, fun activities, and the return of the taco contest!
Our featured author this year Christine Taylor-Butler, award winning author of children's literature: fiction and nonfiction for all ages. She has authored over eighty titles and counting. Join us as Christine Taylor-Butler will give a book signing and perform two science experiments with kids. We’ll be giving away free copies of her books.
Other activities will include Blind Date with a Movie, Music Sampling, Book Fortune Teller, the Yearbook Project, a drum circle, bubbles, face-painting, and lawn games. Attendees will also get to visit the Mobile Library to sign up for a card and check out items.
