Lansing: Independence Day in Lansing, 6-9 pm Inflatables, food, fireworks at 9:30 pm at Kenneth W. Bernard Community Park
Shawnee: Parked in Shawnee, 5:30-9:30 pm. Food trucks, kids activities, music, fireworks at 9:30 pm at Stump Park
Tuesday, July 3rd
Edgerton: Community Picnic and Fireworks, 6-10 pm Picnic, music, face painting, games, inflatables. Fireworks at 9:45 pm
Fairway / Mission Hills / Roeland Park / Westwood: Independence Day Fireworks, Bishop Miege High School, ~9:30 pm.
Kansas City: Post-Game Fireworks at Kansas City T-Bones baseball game. 7-10 pm
Wednesday, July 4th
Ft. Leavenworth: Fireworks and Salute to the Union, 4- 10 pm Games, concessions, concert. 8:30 Salute to the Union. Fireworks at 9 pm at Merrit Lake.
Gardner: 4th of July Celebration at Celebration Park, 3:30-10:30 pm inflatables, face painting, zip line, tailgating, live music. Enjoy the playground and picnic shelters. Fireworks at 10 pm.
Kansas City: Independence Day Post-Game Fireworks at Kansas City T-Bones baseball. 7 - 10 pm
Leawood: 4th of July Celebration at Leawood City Park, 6-10 pm Food vendors, kid activities, live music at 7:30 pm and fireworks at 9:45 pm
Olathe: 4th of July Fireworks at CBAC, Fireworks at ~9:45 pm.
Overland Park: Star Spangled Spectacular at Corporate Woods, 5 -10 pm Live music with the Elders, fireworks at ~9:45 pm
Stilwell: Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks in Downtown Stilwell, 6-10 pm. Parade at 6 pm starting on 192nd St. Fireworks at 9:30 pm 199th & Metcalf
Thursday, July 5th
Fri, July 5th: Olathe: 19th Century Fireworks at Mahaffie, 6-10 pm. Activities, bike parade, Olathe Civic Band concert, reading of the Declaration of Independence, ground-based fireworks (not aerial) at ~9:30 pm.
OTHER INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVITIES:
July 1st-7th: Merriam: Flags 4 Freedom. Walk through the flag display, concert, refreshment concessions
Wed, July 4th: Prairie Village: Village Fest, 7:30 am - 1 pm. Fun family festival with kids parade, arts & crafts, inflatables, live music all day, face painting, petting zoo, puppet show and more.
Wed, July 4th: Overland Park: Independence Day at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead, 9 am - 12 pm. Turn of the century games, bike parade, crafts and activities. $2.
Wed, July 4th: Lenexa: Community Days Parade, 10 am. Enjoy the parade of floats, antique cars and bands.
Wed, July 4th: 10 am - 4 pm Olathe: Independence Day at Mahaffie, Reading of the Declaration of Independence, cannon firing, meet Uncle Sam and other 1860's fun. $7/adults, $5/children ages 5-11, Olathe residents receive $2/off admission.
Wed, July 4th: Shawnee: Freedom Fling at Splash Cove and Soetaert Aquatic Center, 12:30-5 pm. Fun at the pool. $3 Resident, $4 non-resident with a canned food donation. (Half price admission)
