The Kansas City Renaissance Festival Makes It Easy to Shop Local

BONNER SPRINGS, Kansas (Sept. 11, 2014) – Many local artists and shops can be found at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. Whether patrons are looking for a new belly-dancing outfit, candles, hair accessories, or some new jewelry, patrons won’t be disappointed when shopping at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival!

Looking for a new costume? Look no further than the custom clothing shops found at the festival. T’Ger Toggs, located at booth 349, creates Medieval and Renaissance wear and has been owned and operated by the creator, T'gallen Stone, for 15 years. Heart’s Delight also creates clothing, with nods to the renaissance, steampunk, weddings, and more! Other shops include Lionheart Hat Shop, Jive Silk Originals, and Boss Wench.

Need some accessories to go with your new outfit? There are many different jewelry artisans as well. Vulcan’s Forge can create a custom piece by only using precious metals if patrons are wanting something a little bit different. Thyme2Dream is another local jeweler that prides itself on its fantastical pieces, such as ear cuffs and elven headdresses.  Prefer chainmain to earrings and necklaces? Check out Enchanted Chains and Fairytale Chainmaille!

Certain artists demonstrate their craft during festival hours! Check out Ash & Griffin Pottery or Goldtooth’s Pirate Drinking Vessels for pottery displays. Unicorn Glass has beautiful glass art and Thumbtack Leather has some amazing leather creations. The Complete Fool has all the playful things patrons are looking for and can demonstrate how to make the most of their toys and hula hoops!

Patrons looking to get in on the action can visit several booths where they make their own craft! Wax Hands, Ye Olde Sand Art, and Wax Roses supply the materials and patrons supply the creativity!
