In a time of change, Jenny Craig is my constant.

This article highlights my journey with Jenny Craig for the week of April 12th-April 18th.

 

I’ve been thinking a lot about change. So much has changed in the past 6 weeks, it’s almost hard to recall a different reality. If I’m honest, the other day I was watching TV, and I had a moment of panic when a large crowd of people was shown on the screen. I thought, “oh my goodness, what are they doing!” And then I snapped back, realizing I was watching a fictional TV show. 

 

There is very little about life right now that is the same as it was before. I haven’t seen an un-masked smile of another human in weeks. I haven’t been able to lay eyes on my extended family, much less give them a hug. My daughter hasn’t played with another child in 42 days. 

 

Obviously, my people are still my people, and my home is still my home, and thankfully, my job is still my job. And with Jenny Craig, my meal plan remains the same, which is something I’m very grateful for. It’s one thing I don’t have to worry about or figure out, and I actually have someone a phone call away to help me move through things if I run into an issue.

 

My consultant, Connie, has told me time and again to call her if anything at all comes up, or I feel myself slipping, or find myself face-to-face with a bowl of ice cream I’m thinking about inhaling. Just knowing the support is there, and knowing there’s someone holding me accountable, is half the battle and Jenny Craig makes it easy.

 


The other half the battle is actually making sure I’m following the My Rapid Results program and eating right. This part is easy too because I literally have breakfast, a snack, lunch, dinner, and another snack provided for me. All I have to do is make sure I’m putting those foods in my body at the right time of day and supplementing with lots of good greens and other healthy vegetables. 

 

So, at a time when change is the name of the game, thank goodness Jenny Craig is a program I can rely on. It’s helped me to realize that life could throw anything my way, and I would have no excuse for letting my diet go down a bad path as long as I have Jenny Craig. They make it that easy! I have only a few more weeks on this program, but I’ll be thinking long and hard about continuing on. As the “new normal” continues to change and evolve, I’m not willing to let one of the only constants in my life go.
