67th Annual Greater KC Science & Engineering Fair at Union Station

Over 1,000 Area Students to Compete

Public is invited to explore work from the brightest minds of next generation Thursday-Friday, April 5 & 6

  

Who: LeAnn Smith, Director of STEM Programming & Outreach Science City at Union Station; 1,100 students in grades 4 -12, in the nine-county Kansas City metro area (including private, charter and home school students); local educators; parents of students; general public and Greater Kansas City Science & Engineering Fair judges.


What: Join us as we celebrate the curiosity, innovation and sheer brilliance of 1,100 area students in grades 4-12 from public, private, parochial, charter and home schools in the nine-county metro area. The Greater Kansas City Science & Engineering Fair (GKCSEF) - one of the largest fairs of its kind in the country - will fill both Grand Hall and Grand Plaza at Union Station, April 7-8. The Fair will be filled with 825 exemplary projects developed by these talented students. Some of these talented kids will win a piece of the nearly $7,000 in awards and honors. Judging of projects takes place on April 5. Judging is facilitated by professionals from the Greater Kansas City area, who are leaders in their specific fields of science and engineering. The event is free and open to the public.

Noon-5 pm: Projects available for public viewing.

Friday, April 6, 2018

8:00 am-5:00 pm: Projects available for public viewing. Fair closes to public at 5:00 pm
